Vultr

I needed a server in Tokyo with low latency for a specific client project, and Vultr delivered. Their High Frequency compute instances are lightning fast compared to standard cloud VMs. The interface is clean, modern, and the hourly billing makes it the perfect choice for testing short-term projects without committing to a full month of costs.

The raw server performance here is incredible, easily beating out many bigger names in the cloud space. My only issue was the account verification process—it felt a bit like an interrogation just to give them my money. Once I was through that initial hurdle, the service itself has been flawlessly stable.

I use their Tokyo and Singapore nodes for a gaming community. The peering is fantastic and we've had zero reports of lag or packet loss. The control panel is also much faster to respond than some of the clunkier competitors I've tried.

I love only paying for exactly what I use. I spin up complex environments for testing, keep them running for 3 hours, and then destroy them. It costs me pennies. Their snapshot feature is also very reliable, making it easy to create templates for my recurring deployments.
